Acupuncture according to TCM

Traditional treatment method using fine needles to relieve pregnancy discomfort and to promote physical and emotional well-being. Also used to prepare for birth.

Training: acupuncture according to TCM in obstetrics for midwives and gynaecologists, Zhong Institute, 2018–2019.

Sacroiliac joint treatment

Targeted manipulation to relieve back pain and pelvic discomfort during pregnancy – for increased mobility and comfort.

Training: arthrokinematic adjustment of the pelvic ring, manual therapy (Dr Ritzmann, Dr med. Maggi), 2017.

Kinesiology taping

Application of special elastic tape to support the muscles, relieve pain and improve mobility during pregnancy.

I come to you

No appointment in a consulting room, no travelling with a newborn, no waiting area. I bring everything I need for examination, counselling and treatment – and you stay where you feel most comfortable.

Price overview

In Switzerland postpartum care is fully covered by basic health insurance – the deductible does not apply. Costs only arise for individual additional services.

What basic insurance covers

  • 10 postpartum visits within 56 days after the birth – for first-time mothers, after a caesarean section and for premature or multiple births up to 16 visits.
  • 3 breastfeeding consultations, also after the first weeks.
  • A one-off CHF 150 towards a birth preparation course or a midwife consultation.
  • For maternity-related services the deductible does not apply – you pay no excess either.
  • Postpartum care no cost 10 to 16 visits within 56 days, covered by basic insurance, no deductible.
  • Breastfeeding advice no cost Part of postpartum care.
  • Midwife consultation covered or CHF 150 Covered by health insurance if you have not yet attended a birth preparation course. In addition to a course: CHF 150.
  • Private birth preparation CHF 60 per half hour For every half hour started. Health insurance covers the first CHF 150.
  • Pregnancy massage CHF 120 Per treatment of about one hour. Usually not covered by health insurance.
  • Acupuncture according to TCM CHF 110 per hour Usually not covered by basic insurance. Some supplementary policies contribute – please clarify with your insurer beforehand.
  • Kinesiology taping CHF 40 per session Usually not covered by basic insurance.
  • Sacroiliac joint treatment on request Depending on the effort involved. Just ask me about it.
